Allison Guerriero, a former security consultant whose affair with disgraced former FBI official Charles McGonigal helped expose his secret work for Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, died in Florida on 27 August. Although friends and relatives initially questioned whether she could have taken her own life, a source close to the investigation told the Daily Mail that her death was determined to be suicide.

Guerriero, 52, was found in her rented Boynton Beach apartment after posting critical messages about the FBI on X. Her death came a day after another security consultant published a lengthy article criticising aspects of her life and associations. The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner refused to release the autopsy report, citing Florida privacy rules for suspected suicide cases; Guerriero’s family and friends, including Roger Stone, said they remained doubtful and had sought further investigation.
