Carianne Marshall will step down as co-chair and chief operating officer of Warner Chappell Music at the end of September, as Warner Music Group streamlines its leadership structure. CEO Guy Moot will become the publisher’s sole chair from 1 October, while Marshall will remain with the company until the end of the year to support the transition.

Marshall joined Warner Chappell in 2018 and has co-led it with Moot since 2019. She helped modernise digital licensing, establish a creative services division and secure major signings, and her departure follows several prominent female music executives leaving senior roles recently. Warner Music praised her contribution to the company’s growth and songwriter-focused culture.
