Apple has rebuilt Siri with AI in iOS 27, giving it a better understanding of personal context and making it more capable than its command-based predecessor. The update could make Siri useful for finding information across emails, messages and other apps, rather than merely responding to narrowly defined requests.

Siri can locate details such as hotel addresses, recommendations shared in messages and concert information, then perform actions such as copying text or interacting with compatible third-party apps. However, it requires Apple Intelligence-compatible hardware, is currently limited to English, and may involve joining a waiting list; additional languages are expected from October.
