Judas Priest's founding bassist Ian Hill has been forced to withdraw from the band's London concert on 21 September 2026 at the Eventim Apollo due to a severely damaged tendon in his left arm. Dave Rimmer, bassist from Uriah Heep, will serve as his temporary replacement for the performance, allowing the show to proceed as planned.

Hill, now 74 years old, remains the sole surviving original member of the band since its formation in 1969. The band continues touring in support of their 19th studio album "Invincible Shield", which achieved notable chart success, reaching number 2 in the UK charts and topping charts in Germany, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland. Hill has previously stated the band has no immediate retirement plans and intends to continue performing as long as they maintain quality standards.
