A 37-year-old British tourist of Nepalese origin has gone missing in Lake Como after diving into the water to rescue a father and his 16-year-old son who were struggling during a swim. The tourist, who was aboard a moored boat near Dongo with the family, managed to help both swimmers to safety before disappearing himself. Rescue services have launched a major search operation involving firefighter divers, rescue boats, a helicopter and underwater drones, though the task is complicated by the lake's depth of over 200 metres in the incident area.
