Atmovie Inc. will present Japan Pitch at the 31st Busan International Film Festival, showcasing four Japanese filmmakers seeking international buyers, producers and co-production partners. The event forms part of the Atmovie Global Track accelerator, backed by the Japan Creator Support Fund through the Japan Arts Council, and aims to help Japanese creators secure international film deals.

The four projects are Kinoshita Yusuke’s “Children of the Empire”, Saito Shiori’s documentary “Omusubi”, Joya Yoshimi’s feature debut “Almost Goodbye” and Arai Soji’s “Their Own Sake”. Japan Pitch will take place on 11 October, followed by individual meetings, further pitches and a networking reception on 12 October at Busan’s Centum Hotel Emerald Hall; Arai previously presented his project at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
