Hulu has released a trailer for *Clown Panic*, a feature-length documentary revisiting the 2016 clown scare in the United States. The film examines how alleged sightings developed into a national moral panic, prompting police involvement, school lockdowns and intense coverage across television news and social media.

The scare began with reports of clowns hiding in woodland near a South Carolina community before similar claims emerged elsewhere in the country. Directed by Ed Perkins, the documentary includes witnesses, law-enforcement officers, professional clowns and cultural commentators, while exploring the impact on performers whose work suffered and how an urban legend gained momentum; it premieres on Hulu on 12 October and on Disney+ internationally.
