The Guardian is inviting readers to submit questions for an upcoming interview with acclaimed actress Miranda Richardson as part of its readers interview series. Submissions are being sought until 6pm on Thursday 24 September, with answers to be published thereafter. Richardson is a highly decorated performer with a career spanning over four decades, during which she has earned widespread critical recognition and developed an extensive portfolio of diverse roles.

Richardson's accolades include a Bafta for the 1992 drama Damage, Golden Globes for Enchanted April and Fatherland, and Oscar nominations for Damage and Tom & Viv. Her notable performances encompass serious historical and dramatic roles such as Ruth Ellis in Dance with a Stranger and Barbara Castle in Made in Dagenham, alongside celebrated comedic turns including the unhinged Queen Queenie in Blackadder II and Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. A Bristol Old Vic graduate from 1979 who trained alongside Daniel Day-Lewis, she has worked continuously across theatre, film and television. Her current project is The Yellow Tie, a biopic of Romanian conductor Sergiu Celibidache in which she plays his wife Ioana alongside John Malkovich, arriving in cinemas from 9 October.
