June Forester, born in Georgia on 22 September 1956, was one of the four sisters who formed The Forester Sisters, a highly successful country group of the 1980s. Known for her anchoring alto, she helped create the quartet’s distinctive harmonies, which contributed to the group’s prominence among family acts in country music.

The Forester Sisters achieved 15 Top 10 hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, including four number ones: “I Fell In Love Again Last Night”, “Just in Case”, “Mama’s Never Seen Those Eyes” and “You Again”. They released their final album, More Than I Am, in 1996, then retired to focus on family life; June later taught children with visual impairments, and the sisters reunited briefly in 2013 for their Georgia Music Hall of Fame induction.
