Rabbit is launching OS3, a standalone cloud-based AI agent that can run across Windows, Mac and Linux without requiring its R1 device. The move broadens access to Rabbit’s software after disappointing reception for the R1, while the company shifts towards software alongside continued plans for new AI hardware.

Users can connect up to five devices and select preferred AI models, with OS3 deciding which devices, files, apps and models are needed for each task. It will also be available through a desktop website, messaging apps and the R1; Rabbit says it will not store, copy, use or sell users’ data, although chats and memories will remain on its servers and linked AI providers will apply their own privacy policies.
