Ale & Radio, Sheffield’s beer-themed online station, is opening an independent beer shop in Chapeltown, taking its focus on craft beer and music from the internet to the high street. The shop will provide a physical base for the station while supporting independent breweries and creating a venue where customers can connect with its broadcasts and beer community.

The shop will sell independent and traditional beers, as well as wines and spirits, while Lardy Dar Cigars will continue as part of the business. It will also house Ale & Radio’s studio, allowing visitors to see where programmes, interviews and social broadcasts are made; planned activities include tastings, special releases and events. The station launched as a 24-hour service in 2024 and has since exceeded 100,000 streams.
