Studiocanal has announced the completion of the final film in the German-language Woodwalkers trilogy, with its German cinema release scheduled for 28 January 2027. The series, based on Katja Brandis’s best-selling novels, follows teenagers who can secretly shapeshift and has become a major success for Studiocanal and Blue Eyes Fiction.

The first two films attracted more than two million admissions in Germany, while Woodwalkers 2 was described as the country’s most successful family film of 2026 so far. The concluding film sees Carag and his friends confront former mentor Andrew Milling after he announces a “Day of Vengeance”; filming took place in Romania and Bavaria, with Florian Sigl directing and the principal cast returning.
