The podcasts appear within the Maps Guides feature and provide historical context when users view information about iconic locations, adding an educational dimension to the app's navigation capabilities.

The Hidden Histories content is accessible through a panel that appears when viewing landmark information in Maps. Notable examples include podcasts about Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park and Grand Central Terminal in New York; the Hollywood Sign and Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles; and Alcatraz in San Francisco. Users can add these podcast guides to their personal collection by tapping a plus icon and then revisit them through the "Your Guides" section at any time.
