Female Filmmakers Weigh in on Merger and Supporting Each Other in Hollywood’s Hard Times at Through Her Lens Luncheon
The 11th annual Through Her Lens luncheon brought established filmmakers and performers together with emerging women and non-binary filmmakers in New York. Rosenthal recalled helping bring The Burning Bed to television despite dismissive opposition, arguing that representation in positions of power determines which stories are produced; the initiative has previously supported filmmakers including A.V. Rockwell and Nikyatu Jusu.
