Angry Anderson, the late frontman of Australian rock band Rose Tattoo, was the last surviving member of the original line-up at the time of a 2018 interview with Classic Rock. Despite his small stature at five foot one inch, he was renowned as one of rock music's most fascinating characters, known for his brutal, uncompromising personality and powerful voice. Rose Tattoo shared producers and a record label with AC/DC, and their blues-drenched rock and roll influenced bands including Guns N' Roses, who later covered their work and invited them as special guests.

Anderson's career encompassed both rock credibility and unlikely mainstream success, including a surprise 1987 pop hit called "Suddenly" that was used in Australian soap Neighbours. Over the decades, the band experienced significant losses: drummer Dallas 'Digger' Royall died in 1991, co-founding guitarist Pete Wells and bassist Ian Rilen both passed away in 2006, bassist Lobby Loyde died in 2007, and guitarist Mick Cocks followed in 2009, leaving Anderson as the sole surviving original member.
