Non-binary Episcopal priest Flourish Klink has sparked backlash after preaching that God and Jesus are transgender and non-binary. A video of the sermon reportedly attracted more than 5.5 million views on X and over 6,400 replies, many condemning the comments as heretical or blasphemous. Klink cited Jesus’s unmarried status, interactions with women and changed appearance after the resurrection, while critics referred to biblical passages describing Jesus as male; Klink later responded indirectly by expressing “love” for their detractors.
