Marvel has announced a four-issue crossover comic series pitting the intergalactic Predator against Frank Castle, known as The Punisher, in New York. The confrontation promises more than just a battle between two skilled hunters; writer Frank Tieri has revealed that the two characters share an unexpected history that goes beyond their reputations as dangerous killers.

The Predator's arrival in New York initially appears to be another escalation in Frank's war on crime, but the creature's true target is Frank himself. The series will feature a mob war involving familiar enemies such as Kingpin, Jigsaw, Silvermane and the Owl, though the publisher has kept secret the nature of the shared past between Frank and the Predator. The first issue is scheduled for release on 11 November, with writer Tieri promising fans "a ton of blood and violence" alongside unexpected plot twists about the two combatants' connection.
