Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum has said BTS is expected to return to Mexico in 2027, following talks with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung. The announcement highlights growing cultural and diplomatic ties between the two countries, although BTS and its management company, HYBE, have not confirmed the visit.

BTS performed three sold-out Mexico City concerts in May during its ARIRANG world tour, its first Mexican appearances in nine years, and greeted around 50,000 fans at the Zócalo. Sheinbaum and Lee also discussed trade, technology and K-pop, signed cultural and educational agreements, and considered creating a K-pop culture centre in Mexico; HYBE said it is expanding its Latin American operations from the country.
