Judas Priest are marking the 50th anniversary of *Sad Wings Of Destiny* with two new editions: *Original 1976 Masters* and *Remixed & Remastered*. The releases restore the band’s intended track order, beginning with “Prelude”, and celebrate an album widely regarded as crucial to defining the group’s identity and heavy metal’s development.

The *Original 1976 Masters* uses the original analogue tapes and includes a 1976 version of “Diamonds And Rust” as a CD bonus track, while the remixed edition uses the original multitracks and is issued as a half-speed, 45 RPM double LP or CD. Both versions stream worldwide from 2 October 2026; the original edition’s physical formats follow on 9 October, while the remixed edition arrives on 27 November, with earlier access through the Exciter Records webstore.
