Warner Music Group has appointed Val Blavatnik, the 28-year-old son of majority owner Len Blavatnik, as Managing Director of North America, the U.K. and Corporate Development. The move forms part of a broader leadership reshuffle intended to strengthen operational strategy, investment decisions and growth across key markets.

Alejandro Duque will become President of Warner Music International, while Elliot Grainge and Zach Friedman take additional leadership roles at ADA. Aaron Bay-Schuck will become sole Chairman and CEO of Warner Records Group; Guillermo Gonzalez will lead Warner Music EMEA; and Andrés Rothschild will head Warner Music Iberia. Simon Robson will leave in December after nearly 30 years, while Blavatnik joins the executive team after serving on WMG’s board since 2023 and recently completing an MBA at Harvard Business School.
