The promoter, Messina Touring Group, said the decision was made with local officials and prioritised the safety of fans, staff and everyone involved.

Refunds are available from the original point of purchase, while Ticketmaster customers will be refunded automatically. The cancellation follows earlier controversy over opening acts leaving Sheeran’s Loop Tour, including Macklemore’s withdrawal after stadium owner Robert Kraft barred him from performing, prompting debate about free speech.
