Key contributors include Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" ($1.7 billion worldwide), which became Universal's highest-grossing film ever; "Michael," a biopic about Michael Jackson that earned $1.028 billion and surpassed "Oppenheimer" as the highest-grossing biopic overall; and "Obsession," a low-budget thriller produced for under $1 million that achieved $519 million worldwide, making it one of the year's most profitable films. Several major releases remain on Universal's 2026 calendar, positioning the studio for further box office gains before year's end.
