A nor'easter storm system approaching the northeastern United States has prompted the cancellation of three major music festivals scheduled for this weekend. All Things Go NYC (27–29 September at Forest Hills Stadium), Global Citizen Festival (26 September at Central Park), and Oceans Calling in Maryland have all been cancelled due to severe weather conditions including high winds, tidal flooding and erosion. Organisers have prioritised public safety and cited consultation with local authorities and weather advisors in making these difficult decisions.

The festivals featured prominent headliners and drew substantial audiences. All Things Go NYC was to include acts such as Ethel Cain, Carly Rae Jepsen and Brandi Carlile; Global Citizen was headlined by Ms. Lauryn Hill, Lenny Kravitz and John Legend; and Oceans Calling featured Dave Matthews Band, Twenty One Pilots and Gwen Stefani. Ticket holders will receive automatic refunds within 30 days to their original payment method. Ed Sheeran's shows at Gillette Stadium were also cancelled as a result of the nor'easter, whilst the CBGB Festival in Brooklyn on Sunday announced it is continuing preparations.
