Drummer Abe Laboriel Jr. performed with Pearl Jam members at the Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California on Friday night in what appears to be the unveiling of the band's new drummer. The performance marked a significant moment for the legendary band as they prepare for their headlining slot at the festival on Sunday. Although no official announcement has been made, Laboriel Jr.'s appearance alongside three key Pearl Jam members (Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready) suggests he is replacing Matt Cameron, who stepped down after 27 years as the band's drummer.

Laboriel Jr. performed Pearl Jam's tracks Corduroy and Wishlist during the 'Eddie Vedder & Friends' set, following a theatrical reveal orchestrated by frontman Eddie Vedder, who teased the audience before pulling back a curtain to expose the full ensemble. The drummer brings significant credentials to the role, having served as the drummer and backing vocalist for Paul McCartney's band since 2001, whilst also working with renowned artists including B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Lady Gaga, Steve Vai and Seal throughout his career.
