Oregon quarterback Dante Moore was taken from the field on a cart after being hit in the head while sliding during a game against USC. USC linebacker Desman Stephens was penalised for targeting and ejected, while medical staff attended to Moore for an extended period before he was taken to an ambulance.
The extent of Moore’s injury was not disclosed, although a broadcast report said he could move his hands and feet and rotate his arms. Backup quarterback Dylan Raiola replaced him and threw a touchdown pass, helping Oregon take a 13-10 lead into half-time; Oregon were ranked 20th and USC 12th.
