Major League Baseball is reportedly discussing a special game and possible stadium at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, inspired by the successful Field of Dreams games in Iowa. The proposal is controversial because it could introduce major commercial construction into a protected natural area, although the White House says it is neither a presidential directive nor an administration priority.

The park covers 310,000 acres and supports wildlife including bears, wolves, bison, elk and pronghorn. National Park Service Deputy Director Frank Lands reportedly visited to assess possible locations, while conservationists and a Wyoming county commissioner condemned the idea; it is also unclear whether any stadium would be temporary or permanent.
