A new Literary Works Pitch for Audiovisual Adaptation initiative at Madrid’s Iberseries & Platino Industria aims to connect publishers and literary agencies with production companies, streamers, studios and broadcasters seeking screen-ready intellectual property. Organisers selected 16 works from Spain, Mexico, Germany and Argentina, reflecting the growing adaptation potential of Spanish-language and international literature.

The projects span romance, thrillers, horror, fantasy, historical drama, political non-fiction, young-adult fiction and graphic novels. Notable premises include a clandestine affair between Barcelona and Paris, a prison colony where inmates are hunted each full moon, women resisting Franco’s dictatorship, an investigation into a 1970s Argentine guerrilla attack, and the memoir-based story of Che Guevara’s first wife.
