Former Fox News producer Jennifer Eckhart, 36, has died by suicide in Florida, according to a sheriff’s report. Her mother said Eckhart’s post-traumatic stress following sexual-assault allegations against former Fox anchor Ed Henry had profoundly affected her and ultimately contributed to her death. Henry denied the allegations, was never criminally charged and maintained that their encounters were consensual.

Eckhart accused Henry in a civil lawsuit of handcuffing and raping her in a Manhattan hotel in 2017; the case was settled shortly before trial in June 2025. Henry was dismissed by Fox in 2020 after an external investigation and now works as a Newsmax anchor. Eckhart was found in her rented Hobe Sound home last Saturday, and her mother said she had recently appeared publicly hopeful despite the continuing impact of the ordeal.
