Loggins, 78, said he had been wary of making a documentary because films about musicians can reshape events to fit a preferred story. Director Dori Berinstein said she wanted to explore his life and creative process, and Loggins eventually agreed to let her tell his story. Though widely known for songs including “Danger Zone” and “Footloose”, he hopes truth will be the simplest measure of his legacy.
