Matt King is returning to Super Hans in a new book, which continues the character’s story after *Peep Show* ended in 2015. He says he has never watched a full episode of the sitcom, despite fans regularly quoting it at him, and is more interested in a possible film adaptation than a television spin-off.

King also describes having a rare stroke in April, which initially left him paralysed for 36 hours and led to a terrifying hospital stay. He says he was fortunate to avoid more severe consequences and is gradually recovering, though his thinking has changed; he still had about a quarter of the book to write when the stroke happened.
