Pokémon GO’s Harvest Festival: Applin Picking will introduce Shiny Applin, giving players their first chance to find the rare variant while gathering items for Applin’s evolutions. The event also lets players choose which apple they want to pursue, making it easier to work towards a particular evolution.

The event runs from 29 September at 10 a.m. until 5 October at 8 p.m. local time. Mossy Lure Modules will attract apples, which can grant Tart, Sweet or Syrupy Apples, or encounters with event Pokémon; wild appearances include Applin, Skwovet, Lechonk and Smoliv, with increased Shiny odds for Smoliv. A free GO Pass offers rewards as players rank up, while a paid Deluxe pass costs $4.99, or $6.99 with enough GO Points to reach Rank 7; unclaimed pass rewards expire on 7 October.
