ASIFA-Hollywood, the organisation behind the Annie Awards, has announced ASIFA-Showcase, a new two-day event focused on animation during awards season. It will take place on 14–15 November at the Audrey Irmas Pavilion in Los Angeles, as part of the wider Infinity Festival Hollywood, and aims to give members a chance to see and discuss the year’s animation.

The programme will include screenings, panels and presentations featuring films, television programmes and their creative teams, with studios including Apple TV, Disney/Pixar, Netflix Animation, LAIKA and DreamWorks Animation. ASIFA-Hollywood says the event is intended to bring the animation community together and will also raise funds; the wider festival runs from 12–15 November and covers entertainment, gaming, sport and emerging media.
