Security footage shown at Beau Lamarre-Condon’s murder trial captured him buying an $85 surfboard cover with a friend in Sydney on 16 February 2024, three days before prosecutors say he used covers to conceal the bodies of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies. Lamarre-Condon, 31, denies murdering his former partner Baird, 26, and Davies, 29, in a Paddington home, and denies a separate charge of aggravated break and enter.

The trial, being heard in the NSW Supreme Court over 60 days, has also heard evidence about earlier remarks and contact after the alleged killings. Former friend Georgia Cook told the court Lamarre-Condon asked her in May 2023 whether she would help him hide a body, while Davies’s friend Daniel Hart described unanswered messages and replies from Baird’s Instagram account after 19 February 2024. Police footage also showed cleaners at Baird’s home two days after the alleged murders, while officers were investigating the men’s disappearance.
