SteelSeries has unveiled two wireless gaming mice, the Rival Pro and Sensei Pro, featuring innovative improvements in connectivity and customisability. Beyond their lightweight 53-gram frames and swappable battery system, the mice now showcase new software developments including SuperSync (which decouples click and sensor polling rates) and Smart DPI (which automatically adjusts sensitivity between in-game and menu navigation). Notably, the GG companion app is now available as a web-based application in Chrome and Edge, marking a shift towards more accessible software management for gaming peripherals.

The mice use ultra-wideband technology operating between 6.4GHz and 9.056GHz rather than the conventional 2.4GHz, providing 20 times greater bandwidth and reduced latency with improved consistency across high polling rates. Battery packs deliver 16 hours at 8,000Hz polling or 60 hours at 1,000Hz, with a charging station keeping a spare ready. Both standard and miniature versions cost £179, launching 13 October after preorders begin now; the smaller variants weigh 49 grams and offer identical pricing.
