Man charged over killings of elderly resident and visiting relative in New South Wales
A 32-year-old man has been charged with murdering two men at a property in Gurranang, northern New South Wales. Police say the victims were neighbours or relatives connected to the same property; the second death came to light during inquiries into the first.
The first body, believed to be that of a 79-year-old man, was found at the home on 13 September. A 59-year-old relative had travelled from another state to help with the older man’s estate and police inquiries, and was later found dead at the property. The accused was arrested at a hospital and faces two murder charges and a charge of stealing a motor vehicle.
