*Futurama* has reached what is being described as the end of its regular season run, with its Season 14 finale released on 28 September 2026. The series has repeatedly returned after cancellation, making the announcement uncertain rather than conclusive: creator Matt Groening says the team has more stories to tell and leaves open the possibility of another revival.

The finale, “Final Ending: The Last Conclusion”, follows Fry as he searches in 3026 for the ending of a film he missed as a child, taking the crew through different eras. Hulu has no current plans for further seasons, but has commissioned three extended specials; the first, featuring Robot Santa in a Christmas story, is due in 2027. Groening says the specials may resolve long-running mysteries and pay off hints from earlier episodes.
