Blade Officially Returns Following Marvel’s Failed Reboot
Peacock will add the three original Blade films to its streaming library on 1 October 2026, bringing Wesley Snipes’ vampire hunter back to screens after Marvel’s planned reboot starring Mahershala Ali was cancelled. The trilogy’s return gives viewers another way to revisit the character while the MCU version remains unrealised.
Released from 1998 to 2004, the films were directed by Stephen Norrington, Guillermo del Toro and David S. Goyer, and grossed more than $417 million worldwide. Their Rotten Tomatoes audience scores range from 58% for Blade: Trinity to 78% for the first film; Snipes also appeared as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine.
