Steam is the world's largest digital platform for buying and playing computer games on PC. It operates as an online storefront where publishers sell their games directly to players, who can then download and access them at any time.
Steam regularly holds timed sales events throughout the year where game publishers reduce prices on their titles for a limited period. These sales events allow players to purchase both new releases and classic games at lower prices than usual.
For players, these sales make gaming more affordable and allow them to explore games they might otherwise find too expensive. For game publishers and developers, these events generate significant sales and help maintain visibility for games released months or years earlier.
