MotoGP is the world's premier motorcycle racing championship. Races take place throughout the year at different circuits globally, with points awarded for each finishing position to determine the annual champion.

Jorge Martin won the championship in 2024 and is competing for the title again. Marc Marquez is a multiple-time champion competing directly with Martin for this year's championship.

The two riders are separated by only a small points gap with six races remaining. This means the championship outcome is not yet decided and either could potentially become this year's champion.
