Four jailed for raping and sexually assaulting teenage girl in Bristol

Four defendants have been jailed for raping and sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl at a house in Bristol in November last year. The court heard they had groomed her with alcohol and cigarettes, and the three adult defendants fled to France in a lorry before being returned to the UK and convicted.

The judge said the girl had been made drunk and vulnerable, and was raped five times and sexually assaulted over several hours. Mehrab Safi, 21, received 15 years in prison; Salman Habibkheil and Awal Ahmadzai, both 19, received nine years each in detention, while the 17-year-old defendant received three years in detention.
