Moment cocaine-fuelled teen celebrates after knocking man unconscious in vicious unprovoked attack – before kicking him in the head as he lies comatose

Daily Mail ·

Jayden Swift, a 19-year-old, was sentenced to four years and one month in prison after attacking two men in Barnsley town centre whilst under the influence of cocaine and alcohol on 11 January 2026. He punched the first victim approximately 20 times, leaving him unconscious, then attacked an innocent bystander who had intervened to help, knocking him unconscious with a punch and subjecting him to multiple kicks to the head whilst he lay defenceless on the ground. The incident was captured on CCTV and the judge described the attacks as 'unprovoked, senseless and serious', noting that it was 'astonishing' the victims had not suffered life-threatening injuries.

Swift pleaded guilty to two counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. The first victim sustained head injuries and bruising around the eyes, whilst the second victim suffered bruising to his eye and scalp, along with grazing. Both men were intoxicated at the time and could not recall most of the incident. Swift was also granted a ten-year restraining order protecting both victims and ordered to pay a £228 victim surcharge.
