Detroit manufacturing marketplace Bloom secures $3.6m seed funding

TechCrunch ·

Bloom, a Detroit-based start-up that connects companies with manufacturers and suppliers, has raised $3.6 million in seed funding. The company shifted from handling manufacturing and supply chain work itself to a marketplace powered by AI tools, as demand for domestic manufacturing grew among hardware firms.

Bloom says it has made more than 2,000 matches for over 140 companies. Investor SNAK Ventures had previously passed on its pre-seed round, citing a need for more traction; it later invested after Bloom reported five times as many platform memberships and revenue in the first five months of this year equal to all of 2025.
