Victorian family wins $14.4m Gold Coast penthouse after caravan travels

Daily Mail ·

A family of six from Victoria have won a Gold Coast penthouse valued at $14.4 million after spending almost three years travelling around Australia in a caravan. Michelle learnt of the win just four days after the family returned to Victoria, and said she was overwhelmed by the news.

The five-bedroom property overlooks Rainbow Bay Beach and Snapper Rocks and includes ocean-view balconies, several living areas and a swimming pool. The family plan to sell it, use some of the proceeds to build a home in Victoria, and invest the rest to support their children and help others. Michelle had bought tickets in the raffle for about two years and said its support for veterans was one reason she took part.

A Gold Coast penthouse valued at $14.4 million has been won through a raffle by a family of six from Victoria. The five-bedroom property overlooks Rainbow Bay Beach and Snapper Rocks, and features ocean-view balconies, multiple living spaces and a swimming pool.

The family had been travelling in a caravan across Australia for almost three years before returning to their home state. One family member, Michelle, had been purchasing raffle tickets for about two years, and was drawn to this raffle partly because it supported veterans' causes.

Rather than relocate to Queensland, the family intend to sell the penthouse and use some of the proceeds to build a home in Victoria, with the remainder invested to secure their children's future and support charitable causes.
