Suspect arrested in swoop on notorious Hunt crime syndicate admits three weapons charges after being found with knives during raid on his £1million country home
Carl Robinson has admitted three weapons offences after police found knives at his country home during a major investigation into a suspected organised crime network. The raids involved 800 officers across five counties and are believed to have targeted the Hunt Syndicate, amid enquiries into suspected financial crimes and a conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police found a bladed karambit and two flick knives at Robinson’s five-bedroom home, valued at more than £1 million. He was bailed ahead of sentencing on 2 November and warned he could face custody; last year he received a rehabilitation order after admitting eight similar offences. Three other people were charged with separate offences following the raids, including one man accused of wounding a police officer.

The Hunt Syndicate is a suspected organised crime network under investigation by police for financial crimes and violent conspiracies. Authorities believe the group operates across multiple counties and poses a significant threat. Large-scale organised crime investigations typically target networks involved in persistent criminal activity affecting communities.
Law enforcement launched a coordinated operation involving over 800 officers across five counties to disrupt the syndicate's activities. Multiple people have been arrested and charged as a result of the raids. Evidence including weapons was recovered during the operation.
The scale and coordination of the investigation reflect the seriousness with which police regard the syndicate's suspected activities. Multiple arrests suggest the operation targeted numerous individuals suspected of involvement. One person was specifically accused of wounding a police officer during the raids.
