How Beau Lamarre-Condon allegedly hid Jesse Baird and Luke Davies’ bodies in bushland heaped under rocks and foliage

Daily Mail ·

Beau Lamarre-Condon, a former police officer, is on trial in Sydney for the alleged murder of his ex-boyfriend Jesse Baird and Baird's new partner Luke Davies in February 2024. Crime scene photographs released by the NSW Supreme Court show how the bodies were allegedly concealed in surfboard bags beneath rocks and foliage on a rural property near Bungonia, about 200 kilometres south of Sydney. The case has drawn significant attention due to both the defendant's former law enforcement background and the circumstances of the alleged concealment.

When discovered eight days after the alleged murders, the bodies had been stacked on top of each other and were in severe stages of decomposition; detectives had to identify them using jewellery and comparing details to their Instagram profiles. Evidence allegedly found at the scene included Lamarre-Condon's fingerprints and DNA, blood-stained bedsheets, a Budget car rental card, and cut-up pieces of Baird's passport and driver's licence. Investigators also discovered Bunnings receipts matching tools and supplies Lamarre-Condon allegedly purchased days after the alleged murders, including an angle grinder, cable ties, cement and coveralls. Prosecutors allege Lamarre-Condon was obsessed with Baird and unable to accept the end of their on-and-off relationship, which had ended in mid-2023. Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to both murder charges.

Two men disappeared in mid-February 2024: Jesse Baird, a television presenter, and his partner Luke Davies. Eight days later, their bodies were discovered on a rural property south of Sydney, hidden beneath rocks and foliage. A former New South Wales police officer, Beau Lamarre-Condon, is on trial in Sydney's Supreme Court for their alleged murders.

Lamarre-Condon had previously been in an on-and-off relationship with Baird that ended in mid-2023. Prosecutors say he could not accept the relationship's end, particularly after Baird began a new partnership with Davies. Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to both murder charges.

Detectives gathered forensic evidence from the crime scene that includes fingerprints and DNA allegedly linking Lamarre-Condon to the deaths. Investigators also recovered receipts for tools and materials that prosecutors say were purchased to help conceal the bodies. The case has attracted attention partly because a former law enforcement officer faces murder charges.
