The United Rugby Championship is a professional rugby union competition featuring teams from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Italy and South Africa. Teams earn points for results, with an extra bonus point available for scoring at least four tries; the league table determines who reaches the play-offs.
Edinburgh Rugby represents Scotland’s capital, while Zebre Parma is based in Italy. Edinburgh are coached by Sean Everitt, and their campaign has been affected by injuries. Their place in the table matters because league position shapes the route to the title, though it can change as teams play different numbers of matches.
