Five teens accused of stealing £500 of alcohol and attacking shop owners in Sydney
Five teenagers allegedly stormed a bottle shop in Sydney's south-west on Saturday evening, stealing approximately $1,000 worth of alcohol and attacking the owner and her son. The incident has left the shop owners traumatised and fearful of further attacks, with four of the perpetrators still at large.
CCTV footage showed the group entering The Bottle-O in Narellan Vale shortly after 6pm, with several teenagers covering their faces whilst others monitored the door. During the altercation, store owner Guo Wu, 49, suffered minor injuries after being shoved, whilst her son Santiago, 20, was allegedly punched in the left eye when he attempted to restrain one of the teenagers. A 13-year-old has been charged with larceny and faces a second larceny charge related to another alleged theft at a Mount Annan business earlier this year; he was bailed to appear in children's court on 2 November, whilst police continue searching for the other four teens involved.
