CNN Targets Cord-Cutters In Canada With Streaming Launch

The Hollywood Reporter ·

CNN will launch its All Access streaming subscription in Canada on 20 October, giving viewers a way to watch its live news and digital content without a cable package. The move responds to the decline in traditional television and the growth of streaming subscriptions, while existing cable access to CNN will continue.

The service will cost CAN$7.99 a month or CAN$79.99 a year, with a discounted introductory price for the first year. It includes live US and international CNN feeds, exclusive video-on-demand programmes, a library of original series and films, and unlimited access to CNN’s digital content. Canadian pay-TV subscribers who already receive CNN can use their existing credentials to access the new video offerings at no extra cost.
