Dodgers-Brewers & Rays-Guardians Game Times For Thursday Changed

Deadline ·

Major League Baseball has brought Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Rays and Guardians forward to 1 p.m. ET on Thursday because of a rain threat in Cleveland. The change also moves Game 4 of the National League Championship Series between the Brewers and Dodgers to 8 p.m. ET, giving the schedule a later start for the afternoon game and an earlier one for the evening game.

The ALCS is tied 1-1, while Milwaukee lead the NLCS 2-0. If the Brewers win on Wednesday, the Dodgers will face elimination in Thursday’s game, which starts at 5 p.m. PT in Los Angeles. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Shohei Ohtani, who is batting sixth on Wednesday, feels close to finding a way out of his postseason slump.

  • Rain risk moved Rays-Guardians Game 3 to 1 p.m. ET.
  • Brewers-Dodgers Game 4 now starts at 8 p.m. ET.
  • A Milwaukee win would put the Dodgers on the brink of elimination.

The American and National leagues are Major League Baseball’s two divisions, and their Championship Series decide which teams reach the World Series. Each series is a best-of-seven contest, so the first team to win four games advances.

The Rays and Guardians are playing in the American League series, while the Brewers and Dodgers are meeting in the National League series. These match-ups bring together clubs from different parts of the country, and their results determine the two teams that will compete for baseball’s championship.

Shohei Ohtani is a Dodgers player known for both pitching and hitting, and Dave Roberts manages the team. In a playoff series, a team facing elimination must win to keep its season alive.
