Carín León is a Mexican singer best known for regional Mexican music, a broad family of styles rooted in Mexico’s regional traditions. Latin pop is a separate, wide-ranging category, and Billboard’s Latin Pop Airplay chart tracks songs played on US radio stations that focus on Latin pop.
Artists associated mainly with regional Mexican music have increasingly appeared on Latin pop charts in 2026. Their presence reflects how songs and audiences can cross between musical categories, while the charts measure radio play in different formats.
Billboard estimates audience impressions from how many people may have heard a song on radio and how often it played. Other charts mentioned in the report track different measures or focus on particular styles, so a song’s position can vary from one chart to another.
